New Rules for Congress Election

Sophomore Justin Hamilton, Congress vice president, introduced the rules for the upcoming elections at the Student Congress meeting March 17 in the School of Business Administration 170.

Hamilton explained that informal campaigning for Congress positions begins March 28, with applications due March 31. Formal campaigning begins April 1, and the debate between the candidates takes place at 9 p.m. April 11 in SOBA 170. Voting begins April 13 on AceLink and ends at 4 p.m. April 14.

Lucas Brandt, risk and environment management manager, addressed UE’s new environmental policy and gave updates about the recycle mania tournament.

Sophomore Brennan Girdler, concerns chair, announced that Issues and Concerns day will be March 31 in Ridgway Center.

Sophomore Jeff Hoida, issues chair, announced that he would be accepting applications for SGA ombudsman.

Sophomore Taylor Shelton reminded organizations to sign up for UE Gives Back.
